DOES TOURISM NEED A NEW SELF-UNDERSTANDING AND NEW PRINCIPLES?
Looking beyond Germany and examining the differences between urban and rural areas makes it clear: “good” tourism growth requires new strategies. On June 5 in Düsseldorf, dedicated participants inthe DSTNCMP²⁵ will work together to develop these strategies during an “in-depth session.”
Building on an initiative by Catharina Riess, head of the Media Division at Vienna Tourism, and insights from international tourism destinations , the goal is to identify principles and models of success that will foster a shared understanding and the courage to take action. Among other things, the discussion will draw on experiences from Málaga, Luxembourg, Berlin, Zurich, Salzburg, Brixen, South Tyrol, Hamburg, and, of course, the host city, Düsseldorf.
Anyone who would like to benefit from their insights and ideas or contribute their own thoughts can still register at www.destinationcamp.com/tickets. Around 250 experts from the fields of tourism, hospitality, academia, agencies, technology, and platforms will gather in Düsseldorf from June 3 to 5 for this “industry think tank.”
