How do the residents actually view tourism in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern? Does it improve their quality of life? And if not, what can we do to make that happen?

Together with more than 450 residents and tourism professionals, we held nine public dialogues and eight idea workshops throughout Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to discuss aspirations and challenges and work on solutions for a state worth living in. The wealth of ideas generated during these sessions forms the basis for further tourism development in the coming years and for tourism policy decisions in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

#IdeenMachenTourismus embodies the tremendous power of participation. Through this dialogue campaign, we have shown how, in a very short time, real solutions to seemingly insurmountable challenges can emerge—solutions that benefit us all. We want to inspire courage—the courage to further develop tourism collectively and co-creatively with local residents. In this way, we ensure that tourism improves quality of life and fosters well-being.
