vJOURNEY

TRAVEL BEYOND ALL BORDERS

There are many barriers and limitations that temporarily or permanently prevent people from traveling. The vJourney team counters this with VR technology. Virtual journeys are intended to be accessible to everyone at home or in nursing homes at any time. Especially for people who can no longer travel due to age, disability, or illness, vJourney aims to enable social and cultural participation through virtual experiences.

For this purpose, individuals, as well as healthcare facilities like nursing homes, can rent VR glasses for a specific period for a corresponding fee. Four 360° travel experiences in four different cities or locations are pre-installed. Simple menus facilitate effortless control. Hand tracking enables natural interactions – without controllers or Wi-Fi. An AI-powered tour guide leads users through the journey, explains backgrounds, and ensures an authentic experience.

The jury praised it as “bold, innovative; distinctive, and (above all, socially) sustainable.” Through vJourney, people get a chance to travel in ways they otherwise couldn't.

LEARN MORE

"Traveling means freedom, discovering memories and new horizons – yet for many people, these experiences are unattainable. Especially people with dementia often lose access to their most cherished travel memories, while others suffer from unfulfilled wanderlust.

With vJourney, we bring back moments thought lost, satisfy the longing for distant places, and create emotional connections through virtual experiences. Our startup is more than just 'modern stuff' – it's therapy for the soul."
