vJOURNEY

TRAVELING BEYOND ALL BORDERS
There are many barriers and limitations that prevent people from traveling, either temporarily or permanently. The vJourney team is addressing this with VR technology. Virtual travel should be accessible to everyone—whether at home or in a nursing home—at any time. vJourney aims to use these virtual experiences to enable social and cultural participation, particularly for people who can no longer travel due to age, disability, or illness.
To this end, individuals—as well as healthcare facilities such as nursing homes—can rent VR headsets for a specific period of time for a fee. Four 360° travel experiences in four different cities or locations come pre-installed . Simple menus make navigation a breeze. Hand tracking enables natural interactions—without a controller or Wi-Fi. An AI-powered tour guide leads users through the journey, explains the background, and ensures an authentic experience.
“Courageous, innovative; unique and (above all) socially sustainable,” the jury praised . Through vJourney, people are given the opportunity to take trips they otherwise wouldn’t be able to take.

With vJourney, we bring back moments thought to be lost, satisfy the longing for faraway places, and create emotional connections through virtual experiences. "Our startup is more than just 'trendy stuff'—it’s therapy for the soul."
