The Mosel Wine Nights Market in Traben-Trarbach transforms historic wine cellars into a unique winter experience centered around wine, indulgence, and culture. Instead of a traditional Christmas market, an underground experience is created that brings history and regional identity to life.

Its implementation was challenging: safety, infrastructure, and acceptance had to be rethought. Furthermore, the project was a financial strain for the city for many years. Only with the introduction of an entrance fee did it become economically viable and sustainable after almost ten years. Today, the market significantly contributes to extending the season along the Moselle and strengthens tourism and the regional economy far beyond the city.
