KONSTANZ-LAKE CONSTANCE-HEGAU REGION

Action Week "Accessible Western Lake Constance – Experiences for Everyone"
From May 5 to 10, 2026, the Action Week "Accessible Western Lake Constance - Experiences for Everyone" will focus on the theme of inclusion. For six days, the region will demonstrate how diverse and inclusive leisure, culture, and physical activity can be designed – for people with various disabilities, as well as for older individuals, families, and anyone who appreciates easily accessible experiences.
A varied program highlights existing accessible offerings and invites visitors to try new things: City and museum tours provide access to history and culture, concerts create shared experiences, and a charity run combines physical activity with commitment. Newly developed cycling tours are also suitable for special bikes – another step towards accessible nature experiences between the lake and volcanoes.
The goal is to test new offerings, further develop existing ones, and raise public awareness of the needs of people with disabilities. This demonstrates how future-oriented tourism is envisioned in Western Lake Constance: inclusive, mindful, and open to all.
