KICK-OFF #DCHH15

Idea Comes from Identity
Knowing your brand's core, unlocking it, and clearly communicating its essence externally to create recognition, trust, and appeal for your brand – freelance creative director Andreas Ruthemann's keynote initiated the search for the "Reason Why" and demonstrated why it is so crucial for brands to show their true colors.
Following an emotional video kick-off and the welcome to the 5th DestinationCamp, things got straight to the point: With vivid examples, Andreas Ruthemann offered insights into his daily life as a freelance creative director and demonstrated how to optimally convey the brand's core message externally with the right claim, appropriate tonality, and a strong visual identity.

At the same time, his keynote provided insight into the high art of brand management: showing your true colors – clearly highlighting the uniqueness of your own brand and thus transforming from an anonymous participant into a symbol of appeal.
Idea Comes from Identity – only those who are clear about what their brand fundamentally stands for are able to position themselves successfully long-term and build credibility for their brand's services and promises.
Following the keynote, the 6 participants of the talk round extensively discussed video statements from industry representatives, sharing opinions on "Tourism and Innovation" or the question of whether the Airbnb model is more of a "Shadow Economy" rather than a "Sharing Economy":
- Carolin Ruh (Managing Director, TourismMarketing Niedersachsen GmbH)
- Katja Leveringhaus (Co-owner & Managing Director, Explorer Hotels / Oberstdorf @ Event GmbH)
- Klaus Hildebrandt (Editor-in-Chief, FVW Mediengruppe)
- Dominik Kneissl (Founder & COO, MapCase GmbH)
- Rico Pedrotti (Interim Manager Cooperations, Qixxit / DB Vertrieb GmbH)
- Hansjörg Mair (Managing Director, Tourism Association South Tyrol South)
Building on this, the moderators and mind mappers were introduced, who together in teams presented their session content for Saturday and pitched for the participants' interest. We now look forward to lively discussions, exciting results, and a wonderful time together in Hamburg! Here is the video summary of Day 1... presented by Wild East & Traum-Ferienwohnungen:
