A habitat, a destination for adventure, a vacation region, a source of livelihood, and a drinking water reservoir—Lake Constance is all of these things. We—Deutsche Bodensee Tourismus GmbH (DBT), together with our partners—have made it our goal to protect and preserve this natural paradise and to raise awareness of its importance among both our guests and local residents.
We view sustainability as a process that begins with a conscious decision and reflects an attitude that is not about perfection, but rather about simply getting started and taking on a little more responsibility each day to ensure our shared future.
Based on this vision, we are creating ECHT nachhaltig Bodensee—the central network for the long-term sustainable development of tourism on the German side of Lake Constance.
Sustainability and environmental protection affect us all. Under the umbrella brand “ECHT nachhaltig Bodensee,” we’re bringing together existing sustainability efforts, launching new ones, and giving them a digital presence. Together with our growing network, we want to lead by example and highlight simple solutions without lecturing anyone. Every step that brings us closer to our goal of an intact vacation region counts!
