EMILY SCHUBERT
COMPANION FOR THE DSTNCMP26
Emily Schubert began her studies in tourism management during the COVID-19 pandemic and quickly realized she had chosen the right field for herself. Early on, she developed a passion for creative concepts and experiences that bring people together.
Her international study experience in Helsinki and internships in tourism marketing strengthened her interest in destination marketing and strategic long-term thinking. She was particularly influenced by projects at the intersection of region, brand, and local stakeholders.
While pursuing her studies, she worked as a research assistant in an academic setting and supported research projects by conducting literature reviews, analyzing data, and editing English-language academic texts.
This work led to her co-authoring an academic article in the *European Journal of Tourism Research* (2025). Today, Emily aims to further her career in marketing and combine creativity with analytical work.
