EMILY SCHUBERT

ASSOCIATE FOR DSTNCMP26

Emily Schubert began her studies in tourism management during the COVID-19 pandemic and quickly realized she had chosen the right industry for herself. Early on, she developed an enthusiasm for creative concepts and experiences that connect people.

International study experience in Helsinki, along with internships in tourism marketing, strengthened her interest in destination marketing and strategic long-term thinking. She was particularly influenced by projects at the intersection of region, brand, and local stakeholders.

Alongside her studies, she worked as a research assistant in a university setting, supporting research projects through literature research, data analysis, and the revision of English-language specialized texts.

This activity culminated in co-authorship of a scientific publication in the European Journal of Tourism Research (2025). Today, Emily aims to further develop her skills in marketing and combine creativity with analytical work.

When people connect, exchange ideas, and collaborate, it sparks euphoria and courage for what is possible. This energy must be harnessed to achieve great things. That's exactly why I'm looking forward to DSTNCMP!
