First Date Tourism is a colorful, cheerful alternative to the traditional career fair. The event challenges established industry stereotypes and showcases the full range of career opportunities in our sector in an unconventional way. It takes place in an inspiring setting that tells the story of tourism. Encounters between young professionals in the tourism industry and high school students foster a sense of equality.
Shared experiences, engaging in conversation, playing, and trying new things are at the heart of these fun activities, which are completely free of the “school-like” feel of traditional career counseling. As tourism professionals, we know how to tell the story of tourism—and that’s exactly what we do: to help you launch your career in the coolest industry in the world.
Our project should win because we need talented people who choose careers in tourism. Recruiting skilled workers—that sounds so complicated and dull. We put young people and their experiences front and center and show that our industry is exciting and opens doors.
