RELIEF + CLARITY

The New Strategy: Relief Plus Clarity
Overload is not a personal problem, but a systemic one—and systems can be designed. Susanne Gregori, Head of Sales at secra bookings GmbH, will explain how in her keynote address for the session “Strategies Against Information Overload, Data Chaos, and Bureaucracy” on May 6 in Brixen.
Strategies to combat information overload, data chaos, and bureaucracy rarely fail because of a lack of tools—but often because of the opposite. Susanne shows how reducing the workload can become a strategic strength: through simplification, prioritization, and systems that truly help.
For many tourism organizations, this is everyday life: too many channels, too many files, too many follow-up questions—and, in the end, too little time for what really matters. This overload isn’t just a “perceived problem”; it has a measurable impact: decisions take longer, tasks are duplicated, data loses credibility, and teams find themselves constantly reacting instead of taking the initiative.
Priority Over New Tools: Answers to Some Questions
- What information do we really need—and what is just "background noise"?
- Where do duplicate data entries and unnecessary coordination arise?
- Which data points must be consistently accurate for us ("single source of truth")?
- Which processes consume the most energy—and have the least impact?
- What would be a small step that would provide immediate relief?
"More tools" are rarely the solution —true relief comes from clear priorities, reliable data points, and processes that support day-to-day work rather than creating additional work. The focus is on a shift in perspective: Relief is not a matter of convenience, but a strategic leadership task. Because only when the daily chaos becomes manageable can digitalization, collaboration, and future-oriented topics truly take hold.
