DSTNCMP²⁶: SEARCHING FOR A NEW UNDERSTANDING OF TOURISM

Tourism in German-speaking Europe is at a turning point. A paradigm shift is evident, and the first principles of a new understanding of tourism became clear at the15th DestinationCamp, held in Düsseldorf in June. This is vividly documented in the recently publishedWERKSCHAU²⁵.

We need the courage to make value-driven decisions. The scope of work for destination organizations continues to evolve. More than ever, tourism leaders are called upon to consistently and comprehensively involve stakeholders and local residents in co-creative processes.
