EXHIBITION CATALOGFORTHE DSTNCMP²³ IN KUFSTEIN HAS BEEN PUBLISHED

New Date for the DSTNCMP24 in Bregenz: May 21–24, 2024

It was the first DestinationCamp held outside Hamburg, the first to feature multiple locations in a small town in Austria—the DSTNCMP23 , featuring workation and adventure activities in the Kufsteinerland region. The WERKSCHAUhas now been published. At 236 pages, it is the most comprehensive edition to date. It documents the workshop results from 60 sessions on ten major thematic areas in German-speaking tourism, the keynote address by trust researcher Eva Schulte-Austum, and presents the finalists and award winners of the DSTNCMP23award.

Nearly 300 participants gathered in Kufstein in May 2023. The DSTNCMP23 was the first major event in Tyrol to be awarded the “Green Meetings & Green Events” eco-label by the federal government in Vienna. It set new standards for the climate footprint of major events. The Austrian Convention Bureau and the Austrian National Tourist Office identified the DSTNCMP23 as a “proof of concept” for their guidelines on the “transformation from traditional meetings to meaningful experiences.”

The 13th DestinationCamp in Kufstein was organized as a “workation” event for the first time and extended to four days. The next DestinationCamp in Bregenz on Lake Constance will build on the experience gained there and be modified accordingly: Following the kickoff event and keynote address on Tuesday afternoon, the DSTNCMPwill feature24 on Wednesday and Thursday, featuring two days of themed sessions, experiential activities, and the legendary evening events.

For those who are especially eager to learn, there's also the "data:room" on Friday morning. This interdisciplinary innovation project by Bodensee-Vorarlberg Tourism is designed to help people make better decisions on a specific issue based on data. It is a temporary “room-within-a-room” installation for the exchange of data and discussions among people with as diverse a range of mindsets as possible, with the goal of generating solution-oriented feedback.

The DSTNCMP24 in Bregenz has been shortened to two and a half days and can optionally be supplemented with the “in-depth session” on Friday.

Ticket sales will begin as usual on German Tourism Day, November 23, 2023.
