DSTNCMP²⁴ IN BREGENZ – MUCH MORE THAN JUST THE LAKE AND MUSIC SESSIONS
BOOK THE EXPERIENCE PROGRAM AND DATA:ROOM FORDSTNCMP²⁴ NOW
Last year in Kufstein, it was a celebrated premiere; this year, Bregenz is expanding the program: “Workation” is essentially becoming the meta-level of DestinationCamp. The 14th edition of this industry gathering for German-speaking destination tourism explores the trend: “Workation”—the combination of periods of (remote) work and typical vacation experiences—works best when the activities can be casually arranged around work schedules.
For theDSTNCMP²⁴ in Bregenz, the concept of a “Destination Card” was applied to the VIP wristbands and the participants’ tickets: These grant free rides on the Pfänderbahn and Lake Constance ferry, as well as free admission to the “KUB Kunsthaus Bregenz” and the “vorarlberg museum.” This offer is valid from Friday, May 17, through Sunday, May 26, 2024.
In addition, the approximately 300 participants inthe DSTNCMP²⁴ can also book five exclusive experiential programs free of charge on the conference days—Wednesday and Thursday (May 22 and 23, 2024). Those who do not wish to spend their afternoons in Bregenz working (remotely) can use this opportunity to explore the capital of Vorarlberg and its surroundings from a wide variety of perspectives.
And while mostDSTNCMP²⁴ participants head home on Friday morning after Thursday evening’s closing event, a new program of activities begins for 40 particularly curious participants: a visit to the data:room at CampusVäre in Dornbirn.
This interdisciplinary innovation project creates a unique framework for goal-oriented decision-making: The data:room focuses on analyzing diverse data from various sources to address a specific question and brings together people from different (business) sectors with mindsets and experiences that are as varied as possible. The Future Health Lab is pursuing a similar approach to revolutionize Austria’s healthcare system. Through these two projects, participants learn how to use data and its integrated interpretation to make better, more informed cross-sector decisions and find solutions.
For participants in this optional session, theDSTNCMP²⁴ concludeswith another pilot project: a group lunch at the “Tisch Zwölf-Hub” at CampusVäre. The project aims to promote Vorarlberg’s circular economy while also fostering a special work atmosphere through shared meals featuring regional cuisine.
Registration for the data:room session on Friday morning and the closing luncheon is on a "first come, first served" basis. You can register now via the app from our premium partner, Guestnet. We also recommend registering as soon as possible for the exclusive leisure activities during the session days.

FIVE EXPLORATION TIPS FOR TWO DSTNCMP24-AFTERNOONS
On Wednesday and Thursday, participants can choose from five activity options, all of which are available on both days. Space is limited for each activity, so we recommend signing up quickly. For more information and to register, visit destinationcamp.guest.net
At ALPLA, a globally successful family-owned company specializing in plastic packaging, visitors can interactively experience how the circular economy works. Participants learn how the carbon footprint of packaging can be offset and reduced within the recycling loop.
Stand-up paddlers experience Bregenz and neighboring Lochau from the water along the “Pipeline.” Where the oil pipeline from Genoa to Ingolstadt once dominated the shores of Lake Constance until 1997, an idyllic promenade and recreational area has now emerged for walkers, cyclists, swimmers, and SUP wave riders.
Also, a behind-the-scenes tour of the Seebühne and the Festspielhaus is available free of charge to participants of the DSTNCMP24: During the tour, they’ll learn interesting facts and trivia about the history, development, and day-to-day operations of the world’s largest lake stage.
Just how much Asian yaks thrive in Vorarlberg and discover all the products that can be made from the fur, horns, or meat of these black, shaggy longhorns: visitors to the Bio-Austria farm on the Halden near Lochau will learn all about it.
The modern state capital faces Lake Constance. But from the Festspielhaus am See, the "Bregenz—More Than Just a Lake!" city tour takes you from the Festspielhaus am See through the historic Thurn und Taxis Park to the Baroque St. Gallus Church and on to the Upper Town. Its charming alleys wind up the slope of the Pfänderberg to the square Martinsturm. From the top floor of this former merchant’s house, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of the city and the lake.
