DSTNCMP²⁴ IN BREGENZ – FAR MORE THAN LAKE AND SESSIONS
EXPERIENCE PROGRAM AND DATA:ROOM FOR DSTNCMP²⁴ BOOK NOW
Last year, Kufstein hosted a celebrated premiere, and this year Bregenz is expanding the program: "Workation" is becoming, in a sense, the meta-level of DestinationCamp. The 14th edition of the industry gathering for German-speaking destination tourism explores this trend: Workation – the combination of periods of (remote) work and typical holiday experiences – is most successful when the offered experiences can be effortlessly integrated around work appointments.
For DSTNCMP²⁴ in Bregenz, the concept of a Destination Card was transferred to the VIP wristbands and tickets of the participants: These ensure free travel with the Pfänderbahn, with Lake Constance boat trips, and free admission to the "KUB Kunsthaus Bregenz" and the "vorarlberg museum". This applies from Friday, May 17, to Sunday, May 26, 2024.
In addition, the approximately 300 participants of DSTNCMP²⁴ can also book five exclusive experience programs for free on the session days, Wednesday and Thursday (May 22 and 23, 2024). Those who do not wish to use the afternoons in Bregenz for (remote) work can use this opportunity to get to know the Vorarlberg state capital and its surroundings from various perspectives.
And when most DSTNCMP²⁴ participants begin their journey home on Friday morning after Thursday evening's closing event, a new experience program simultaneously begins for 40 particularly curious individuals: a visit to the data:room at CampusVäre in Dornbirn.
This interdisciplinary innovation project creates a very special framework for effective decision-making: The data:room focuses on evaluating diverse data from various sources related to a specific question and brings together people from different (economic) sectors with as diverse mindsets and experiences as possible. The Future Health Lab pursues a similar approach to revolutionize Austria's healthcare system. Participants learn from both projects how better and more informed cross-industry decisions can be made and solutions found with the help of data and its networked interpretation.
For participants of this optional session, DSTNCMP²⁴ concludes with another pilot project: a communal lunch at the Tisch Zwölf-Hub of CampusVäre. This project aims to promote Vorarlberg's circular economy culture while also contributing to a special working atmosphere through shared meals featuring regional produce.
For the data:room session on Friday morning and the concluding lunch, "first come, first served" applies. Registration is now available via the app of our premium partner Guestnet. Prompt registration is also recommended for the exclusive leisure programs during the session days.

FIVE EXPLORER TIPS FOR TWO DSTNCMP24 AFTERNOONS
On Wednesday and Thursday, participants can choose from five experience tips, which are bookable on both days. The number of participants is limited for each, so a quick decision is recommended. Information and registration at destinationcamp.guest.net
At ALPLA, a globally successful family business for plastic packaging, you can interactively experience how the circular economy can function. Participants learn how the CO2 footprint of packaging can be captured and reduced within the recycling loop.
Stand-up paddlers experience Bregenz and neighboring Lochau along the "Pipeline" from the water. Where the Genoa-Ingolstadt oil pipeline shaped the Lake Constance shore until 1997, an idyllic strolling and local recreation area has now emerged for walkers, cyclists, bathers, and SUP enthusiasts.
A look behind the scenes of the Seebühne (floating stage) and the Festspielhaus (festival hall) can also be booked free of charge for DSTNCMP24 participants: They will learn curious and interesting facts about the history, development, and daily stage life of the world's largest floating stage.
Visitors to the Bio-Austria farm on the Halden near Lochau will learn how comfortable Asian yaks feel in Vorarlberg and what can be made from the fur, horn, or meat of these shaggy black longhorns.
The modern state capital faces Lake Constance. However, the city tour "Bregenz – more than just a lake!" leads from the Festspielhaus by the lake, through the historic Thurn und Taxis Park to the baroque Gallus Church, and further into the Upper Town. Its charming alleys wind up the slope of Pfänderberg to the square Martinsturm. From the top floor of this former merchant's house, a magnificent view over the city and the lake awaits.
