FINAL REPORT DSTNCMP²¹

A SUCCESSFUL FINALE.
With two additional sessions in the eight thematic tracks, the DSTNCMP21 continued on Thursday with two additional sessions across the eight thematic tracks. There was no joint closing presentation. Instead, for the first time, participants in the 11th DSTNCMPreceived a certificate.
The results of the 40 sessions will now be compiled by the participants, with support from the facilitators, and presented in the WERKSCHAU. It is scheduled to be published in late September and will serve as the basis for continuously updating our understanding of current issues in tourism.
Certificates & Cheese

The 11th DSTNCMPat the Grand Elysee***** in Hamburg concluded with a group lunch at the Silberstern Arena. Prior to that, netzvitamine Managing Director Benjamin Buhl thanked all participants and supporters of the DSTNCMP21:
The fact that such a DSTNCMPwas possible for the second time amid the ever-changing circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic is due above all to our ten partners, who have trusted and supported us at every turn.
As a symbolic token of appreciation, the head of the DSTNCMPpresented the partners, moderators, and companions with a branded cheese slicer and mountain cheese from Hof-Milch in his native Allgäu region.
For the first time , all participants received a personalized certificate that reflects the focus areas of their track.
SAFETY PLAN FOLLOWED TO THE LETTER

Due to the Hamburg Senate's strict COVID-19 regulations and the special exemption granted to the DSTNCMP21 , masks had to be worn at all times during the sessions this year as well. However, Benjamin Buhl praised the participants for having “adhered to the extensive requirements in an exemplary manner.”
Curiosity, openness, and a willingness to communicate were essential to the transfer of knowledge and the gain of insights during the 40 sessions.
The lively exchange and agile networking had once again demonstrated just how important such in-person events are for the industry, especially during difficult times.
The new format has proven successful

The new format and the expansion to eight thematic strands have proven highly successful. The concept “worked out perfectly; the smaller groups became close-knit communities and engaged in more intense, deeper, more understanding, and more respectful discussions with one another.”
By the time there was hardly anything left in the conference rooms and the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Elysée Hotel to remind one of the DSTNCMP21 , Benjamin Buhl summed up the event during the closing meeting—over pizza and wine provided by the sponsor, Rhineland-Palatinate Tourism—saying:
As this 11th DSTNCMPcomes to a close, I feel nothing but gratitude toward this team, our partners, the moderators, and the helping hands. The high regard and many words of praise from the participants are a testament to your hard work and tireless dedication.
The date for 2022 has been set
