DESTINATIONCAMPFROM AN INDUSTRY MEETING PLACE TO A SPACE FOR REFLECTION

EXHIBITION24 ABOUT DSTNCMP24 ORDERS CAN NOW BE PLACED IN BREGENZ

Decision-makers and young professionals in the German-speaking tourism industry look to DestinationCamp(DSTNCMP) for guidance and solutions.

Reflecting together on viable paths forward in a fragile and inconsistent environment marked by chaos and unpredictability has become more important than the industry gatherings that used to have a more informal, family-like atmosphere.
Benjamin Buhl

The managing director of the organizing company, netzvitamine GmbH, commented on the launch of WERKSCHAU24, that the industry event—which has been established for 14 years—would therefore continue to evolve rigorously into a “space for reflection in German-speaking tourism.”

The WERKSCHAU24 presents, across 202 pages, the results of the 28 sessions on the seven thematic strands in Bregenz: Digitalization with AI, Sustainability and Environmental Management, Destinations with a Future, Public Good and Experiential Spaces, Mobility and Accessibility, Interregional and Innovative, and Trendy Marketing Potential.

In addition, there are summaries of the four sessions of the netzvitamineAKADEMIE. These sessions focused primarily on knowledge sharing by industry representatives on the topics of regional collaborations combined with AI, web analytics 2024, meta-reviews for customer profiling and guest retention, and future-oriented data for events and marketing. An optional session on the morning of the third day focused on the targeted use of the wide variety of data available from diverse sources at data:hub Vorarlberg in Dornbirn.

The session results are complemented by articles on the legendary supporting program, Lake Constance and Bregenz, as well as the afternoon activities.

The workation event model introduced in Kufstein in 2023 has also proven successful in Bregenz. Buhl: “What we’ve learned, however, is that for participants, it was often less about the individual activities offered and more about having the opportunity and time for personal exchange and joint reflection on the solutions they had identified.”

This is intended to be addressed by the DSTNCMP25 : The 15th DestinationCampwill take place from June 3 to 5, 2025, in Düsseldorf . For the first time, ticket prices will also be reduced for participants from DMOs, the tourism services sector, and universities.

Ticket sales will begin, as usual, on German Tourism Day, November 26, 2024.
