Localhood – Guests Become Temporary Locals
Bad Hindelang Tourism
In its “Living Space Concept 2030,” Bad Hindelang in the Allgäu region has made it its mission to “protect and preserve the climate, air, and nature.” To this end, the goal is to make the “region’s appeal tangible to visitors in an environmentally sustainable way” while also encouraging them to become “temporary residents.” The key tool for this is the Bad Hindelang PLUS Guest Service Card. In addition to free access to 20 infrastructure and recreational services, it also promises exclusive access to 25 unique experiences. Whether it’s “old-fashioned mowing,” “planting trees with the forester,” or a “Kässpatzen cooking class”—guests experience culture and nature in an authentic way. And as an added bonus, free use of public transportation and free rides on the “EMMI-MOBIL” on-demand bus system are now also offered.
