VisionAIR: Take off on equal footing!
The fourth DestinationCamp has come to a close. The long-haul flight into the future of tourism reached its climax today with the scenario workshops: Toolset, Start-up, Data Bazaar, De-Cooperation Model, Opera-Air Life, and Travelcap were the key elements that have now inspired and motivated all participants as they return to their daily lives.
After a brief presentation of the preliminary results from Saturday’s discussion sessions, we spent another two hours working intensively, pitching ideas, snacking on bananas, and so on. In short: Sunday was more intense and productive than ever before.
Maybe it was the fantastic summer weather that created such a great atmosphere, maybe it was the expansion of our facilitation and creativity techniques, maybe it was our charming flight attendant, who made us laugh time and again, or Captain Lingg, who steered our flight safely and skillfully... It was probably a mix of everything—or as Horst Graf puts it in the video:
That’s all we need to say for today, and personally, I’m just incredibly happy and grateful for all the feedback we’ve received! Looking back over the last four years, it’s clear that consistently taking criticism to heart and acting on it has led to the fact that this year there were virtually no serious suggestions for improvement—which makes us a little bit proud!
We will, of course, continue working on the new proposals and requests through 2015, and thanks to today’s input, we’ll also be able to get the funding back on track. Thank you very much for your candid feedback and the discussion!
We have two and a half days of hard work behind us
What was fascinating—and this, too, was a first—was that in nearly every thematic cluster today, the term “on equal footing” was mentioned, written, or called for at least once. This is the result of an inspiring keynote address that conveyed exactly that.
This makes the conclusion of our journey into the future of tourism clear and unambiguous:
