DIE ZEIT SPONSORS THE DSTNCMP²⁵ AWARD

SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO – INNOVATORS COMPETE FOR THEDSTNCMP²⁵AWARD
In the German-speaking tourism sector, there are many great projects, creative solutions, and strategic adaptations that nobody knows about. Because they aren’t particularly spectacular, but they work on a small scale. Because the people behind them—as is so often the case—are better at doing than at promoting. Because they can’t rely on expensive PR professionals. At this year’s DestinationCamp, taking place June 3–5, 2025, in Düsseldorf, they’ll take center stage: at the DSTNCMP²⁵Award.
TheDSTNCMP²⁵ Award honors those who “just went for it.” They have developed practical solutions for the nitty-gritty of everyday tourism, scaled big ideas down to steps they could realistically take, or adapted far-reaching solutions to the limited conditions on the ground. Take last year’s winner, Wangerland Touristik, for example, with its “Wangerländer Deichleuchten” initiative—a peaceful alternative to New Year’s Eve fireworks in the Wadden Sea National Park.
TheDSTNCMP²⁵ Award is presented by netzvitamine GmbH, which has been organizing the Denkraum for 15 years. This year, once again, some 300 participants from the tourism, hospitality, academic, agency, technology, and platform sectors in German-speaking tourism regions are expected to attend.
The winners are sponsored by the publishing house DIE ZEIT. The first-place winner receives advertising space worth 45,091 euros, the second-place winner advertising space worth 23,900 euros, and the third-place winner an ad worth 7,600 euros—and all three winners also receive a one-year subscription to *ZEIT*. In addition, the winning team receives a free ticket to the DSTNCMP26.
To become an award winner, there are no major requirements to meet. The only thing that matters is taking action—putting ideas into practice, breaking down big ideas into the small realities on the ground, setting aside doubts, and inspiring volunteers.
Online applications will be accepted from February 3 to March 16, 2025. The process takes less than ten minutes. A jury will select the finalists from among all the applications in advance. The finalists will present their projects at the DSTNCMP²⁵ netzvitamineABEND event in front of approximately 300 tourism experts. These experts, along with a four-member panel of judges, will then select the three winners.
There is no registration fee. Anyone who wants to present simply needs a valid ticket for theDSTNCMP²⁵, taking place June 3–5, 2025, in Düsseldorf. Tickets are still available at destinationcamp.com/tickets. Incidentally, tickets are discounted this year for the first time for tourism organizations, service providers, and researchers.
