FINAL DSTNCMP²³.

NEW IDEAS FOR WORKING FROM HOME
The 13th DestinationCamp has ended, and the roll-ups have been taken down
After two more rounds of sessions in the morning and a closing lunch, theDSTNCMP²³ came to a close on Friday at the Kultur Quartier Kufstein. The 13th DestinationCamp in Kufstein was the first to be held outside Germany, the first in a small town, and—with 54 future-oriented workshops covering nine thematic areas and six sessions at the netzvitamineAKADEMIE— it was both the largest and, at four days, the longest to date.
Nearly 300 experts from the fields of tourism, business, academia, digitalization, sustainability, and politics had gathered in the small Tyrolean town on the Inn—most of them returned home with new ideas and inspiration.
EXAMPLE OF A "WORKATION" IN A RURAL AREA
For the first time, the DestinationCamp was designed as an example of a “workation” in a vacation region: two two-hour sessions of “brainwork” each morning, afternoons free for activities in the Kufsteinerland region or for using the coworking area, and evenings spent socializing over a flying buffet at the fortress, a Tyrolean evening at the alpine restaurant, and a cultural experience at the festival hall in Erl, the home of the Tyrolean Passion Play.
Another firstthere as well: For the first time, the curtain rose on a festive dinner on the stage of the Festspielhaus.
320,000 STEPS BY THE FIVE HELPERS
There are now 14 fewer beach flags flying in Kufstein; the DSTNCMPflags have been taken down again; 56 roll-ups have been rolled up; a good 20 digital information kiosks have been reset to the Kufsteinerland themes; nearly ten hours of footage have been edited; and a good 5,000 photos have been taken.
The five volunteers from the DSTNCMP’sresearch partner, MCI Innsbruck, and from the local university of applied sciences took about 320,000 steps toensure logistics between the session locations and at the netzvitamineHUB.
The ten companions are now reviewing their notes from the sessions and preparing the documentation for the WERKEXHIBITION²³. It is scheduled to go to press in early August.
POSITIVE RESULTS FROM THE NEW FORMAT
The organizers ofDSTNCMP²³, netzvitamine GmbH of Sonthofen and Hamburg, gave a positive assessment of the event. Chief Organizer Benjamin Buhl:
With the DestinationCamp in Kufstein, we demonstrated that the format, which has proven successful in large cities, can also be adapted for a small regional destination.
His fellow managing director Stefan Möhler adds:
Not only were we able to convince Tyrolean tourism professionals and politicians of the unique nature of the “Denkraum,” but we also impressively demonstrated the DestinationCamp’s adaptability and sustainability.
