THAT WAS DSTNCMP²⁶ IN BRIXEN

May 11, 2026

OVERWHELMING RESPONSE TO DSTNCMP²⁶

BRIXEN AND KLOSTER NEUSTIFT WERE IDEAL HOSTS FOR THE 16TH DESTINATIONCAMP

Comments on social media platforms were overflowing: Rarely has a DestinationCamp been as clearly an industry gathering, space for thought, and experience hub as it was in Brixen 2026. The DSTNCMP²⁶ from May 05 – 07 proved to be unique for destination tourism – the venues Brixen and Neustift Abbey in South Tyrol were a stroke of luck for all participants.

In Brixen, transformation was immediately tangible for all participants, even within the supporting program. Werner Zanotti from Brixen Tourism and Mayor Andreas Jungmann impressively demonstrated what transformation can achieve in accommodation, architecture, urban, regional, and industrial development.

More than 220 experts from tourism, science, accommodation, agencies, technology, and platforms gathered in South Tyrol's oldest city for the 16th DestinationCamp.

75% of participants came from Germany, 15% from Austria, 8% from South Tyrol, and 2% from Switzerland. Approximately 53% of participants belonged to the category "Destinations, Associations, and Service Providers." 28% to "Systems, Service Providers, and Platforms," and the remaining 19% to "Universities, Consulting, Advertising, and Communication."

We have been developing tourism, agriculture, culture, and industry hand in hand for years.

WESTERN LAKE CONSTANCE WINS DSTNCMP²⁶-AWARD

The DSTNCMP-Award aims to motivate people to break down big ideas into small budgets and boldly tackle innovations. In 2026, the focus was not on elaborate innovation projects, but rather on unconventional "just do it" approaches. In a mixed vote by jury and audience, the action week "Accessible Western Lake Constance" from Konstanz was honored with the DSTNCMP²⁶ Award. Second place went to the HÆDI Festival in St. Peter-Ording, which makes the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals tangible and experienceable through music, workshops, art, and innovative ideas. Third place was secured by the campaign "Fashion meets Destination" by Linking Brands. The agency brought together the Zillertal region with the young fashion label "Stoked & Woke" to appeal to young target groups.

DESTINATIONCAMP EVEN MORE INTERNATIONAL: DSTNCMP²⁷ FROM JUNE 15 – 17, 2027 IN ANTWERP

Following Kufstein, Bregenz, and Brixen, Antwerp will set another international highlight in 2027 for the annual space for thought and experience. According to the DestinationCamp organizers, the city, with Europe's second-largest port, is "a prime example of how culture, commerce, and the creative economy can be linked to create compact, highly marketable experiences." Antwerp is sophisticated, noble, and edgy all at once. A center for avant-garde fashion and progressive art. Both traditional and youthfully student-oriented, the city combines historical charm with a rebellious, creative energy.

With the 17th DestinationCamp, we are focusing even more strongly on internationalization. Participants can thus learn from the best in Europe and then adapt these new ideas for their own areas of activity.

The principle—proven in Brixen—of combining spaces for thought and experience will be maintained despite a streamlined program that begins on Tuesday evening, with the opening and keynote on Wednesday morning, and sessions as well as netzvitamineABEND Thursday evening.
